Often nurses with great clinical knowledge are promoted into position of management. New Team Leaders and Ward Managers often battle to adjust to their new roles and do not have the basic management skills and knowledge to take on this new role. Inadvertently setting up a nurse to fail in management is a common problem and an excellent nurse does not mean they will be an excellent managers without some grounding and basic skills.
This two day workshop will provide your nurses an understanding of the feelings and pressure they will now be facing. It will give them a solid base from which to work and advance into further levels of management. The workshop is both theoretical but contains many practical elements, role playing and self-evaluation.
